Currently in our 25 gallong hex we have:
2 redtail sharks
1 albino shark
1 columbian catfish
2 tiger barbs
1 peacock eel
2 kissing gouramis
Tomorrow we will be returning one of the kissing gouramis since we have been told they do not get along. We will also be returning both tiger barbs since we do not have the space to get the number needed for them to be happy. So, we will be left with:
2 redtail sharks
1 albino shark
1 columbian catfish shark
1 kissing gourami
1 peacock eel
So far all the sharks get a long really well, no signs of aggresion at all. All these fish are young and small right now and a larger tank will be purchased. What other fish could we add to this tank to replace the 3 being returned? Maybe adding a bit more color? I'd appreciate any suggestions.

Mature Columbian Sharks need brackish water, so they will need a huge tank of their own eventually....and they can grow to over a foot.

I'd start looking for that bigger tank really soon. :)

And I wouldn't add anything else. You are fully stocked, even though the fish are small.

your sharks and catfish will get fairly large and will need a lot of room. I wouldn't consider anything smaller than a 75 gallon tank for them, and some hobbyists who are more familiar with them may suggest something even bigger.

your sharks may not have a problem now, but they will. The redtails will definitely fight, then the winner of that will go after the albino. The winner of that will go after columbian if it survives that long in freshwater.

your kissing gourami is still gonig to get to big for your tank. a single one could easily occupy a 75 gallon by itself after it reaches 12 inches. it may take a while, but they live for a long time and they dont stop growing.

your shraks could start attacking each other at any time. one minute they may be buddies, but the next minute they could be killing each other.

Well, we made some swaps and talked to some people. We now have:
1 red tail shark
1 columbian catfish shark
1 peacock eel
1 kissing gourami
3 angel fish(fairly small at the moment)
A 75 gallon tank will be purchased within the next month most likely.
