Has anyone kept these together? I'm stocking a planted 29g.

Should not be a problem. I would only have 1 P. Gouramis. They grow fairly big, and a 29 will only hold one.

Easily doable in my opinion. Neon rainbows are more passive than Aussies, reds, etc.

i have a powder blue dwarf gourami and 5 neon dwarf rainbows, never had a problem. Every once in a while i see the gourami chase a rainbow, but the rainbows are faster so its never been an issue

this is in a 29 btw

Alrighty, thanks! Trying to cover all water column levels and the pearls are the main piece, but I didn't want anything that would be too fast moving and stressful.

 at the gourami chasing the rainbows...my rainbows get scared by their own shadows, too.

I read you should keep them in pairs of 6, 2 females per one male.

Hey, if it works it works. I was just going off of a recommendation. Nothing is ever by the book every time!

Pearls are great gourami. I've got a ~2yr/old 4" female that's a really nice fish. Very peaceful and gentile in her 55g community tank. I originally had her in a 29g with 10 neons, 4 blood-fin tetras and 5 emerald corys.
