As of right now I have 5 Neon Tetra's in my tank. THey all stick together and follow each other around. If i were to get around 5 zebra danio's would they create their own school or would they join the neon tetra's. Thanks

zebra danios arnt really schooling fish, mine just do their own thing. I think if you got some they would each go their own ways.

My 6 form a school most of the time. There's one who breaks away about half the time, but the other 5 are almost always spazzing out together. What they'd do with neons I'm not sure.

I have schools of 8 cardinals and 4 danios. The danios school together, chase each other like psychos and leave the tetras alone for the most part. Every once in a while one will chase a tetra or a guppy for a couple seconds and then go back to the group. I think they are a fun combination (color-tetras and action-danios). But I had to bump up the danio school only 2 didn't work they chased everything.
Good luck
