Just had a delicious 1/4 chicken dinner from Swiss Chalet (only Canucks would understand. Like the Robertson screw, it's a Canadian thing). Rinsed off and gave a couple of small strands to my Neons and they loved it. I can now see how the lowly Neon is related to the Pirhanna as they gathered like a mob and tore it to shreds. The best part is this: the Black Mollies didn't even sniff at it. This is good new as these two guys are pigs and scarf down every thing put in the tank, even if it was meant for the Algea Eaters. It was getting so bad, I was considering making a box with holes drilled big enough for the Neons to get into but not the Mollies for the purpose of feeding. Now I just need to find a food Oto's like that the Mollies don't care for.

How do the Pirhanna get to the liver in the wild?

Try feeding the mollies at one end of the tank. Once they start feeding place a smaller amount of food at the other end where the neons can get at it. Use to work for me when I had competitive feeders.

The piranha mostly get to the goat or the capybara when "Wild Discovery" photographers are lurking. Their normal meats are cold-blooded critters: other fishes mostly.

Organ meats have no fats in them. Even "lean" muscle meat from warm-blooded mammals and birds is laced with saturated fats that go waxy when cold... aw, you know all this stuff. ...feed beefheart, not porkchops etc

Wetman: Ahhh I see now, thanx.

NJ Devils Fan: My tank? 3' wide, 18" deep

Gumby and the Wild Chicken Livers: :p

What about the Oto's? What do they like as a side dish?

I'm trying to form an image of the cutlery neccessary for the task...
Would you filet them or clean them?
