Well my mother was wiping the tiles with chemicals. Then she grabbed the net part of my net. I looked on the net and there was like bubbles all over it, so i threw it out. According to her, she says I could just rinse it and it'll be okay. I don't think so, what do you guys think? She doesn't believe me, so I have to prove her wrong.

Guess that depends on the chemicals she was using...if they were not water-soluble, rinsing it in water wouldn't do anything. Also, if it was something that could degrade teh netting, it might fall apart if you try to use it anyway. They're so cheap, I'd probably just replace it.

After the bath, rinse thoroughly. If it's not a net that costs much, I'd probably just replace it to be safe. Like stated, you should be safe though with some good soaking and rinsing.

I know they're cheap and when I find time, I'm going to get 5 nets next time I'm at my LFS. I don't what kind of chemical it is, but it smells wierd and its very sticky.

Another thing happened! The cover for my breeding cage fell on the floor and my mom(AGAIN) used the sponge mop - covered in soap and bubbles - and moved it away from where she was mopping. Picked it up, and it was covered with soap. What to do?

Then, I had a bucket of water. She had to move it out of the way, I told her I would do it, but she didn't listen. So she stuck her soapy gloves into the bucket and dragged it aside. I told her that soap kills fish, but shes like no. So I dumped out the water and washed the bucket.

I wish people would listen to me.

Keep your fishie stuff away from your Mom....
