Hey everyone. I am fairly new to the fishkeeping stuff - been doing it for around 6 months now. I just upgraded the 90 I had to a 150, and am thinking of some stocking changes. Here is what I currently have:

150 gal freshwater semi-aggressive community tank
3 juvenile bala sharks (3-4" each)
10 tiger barbs
3 black skirt tetras
4 lemon tetras
2 siamese algea eaters (4" ea)
"real" plants
approx 160 watts of lighting (4x48" fluorescent)

55 gal freshwater non-aggressive community tank
15 fancy guppies (3 females, 2 males and their surviving 6 month old fry)
15 neon tetras
1 white cloud mountain minnow (the other 4 died)
fake plants

I've included a pic of the 150.

Could some one weigh in as to whether I can / should move the tetras into the 55 (and get some larger / more aggressive fish for the 150). My wife has her heart set on some Kribensis and rainbows after seeing them at the LFS. While you're at it, any other stocking suggestions for the 150?

WOW what a pretty tank! but you only have FAKE plants in there? LOL

nope - that's the 150 with the real plants. will be adding some more too, once we figure out whether the lighting quantity and quality is adequate. Also in that picture (although you can barely see them) are all the fish listed as in the 150, except the bala sharks.

yeah, I recently changed 48" T8 bulbs from Home Depot - I think they are the "daylight" bulbs - 6700k if memory serves. At any rate - I was using 2 of those on my 90 and really noticed a big difference when I made the change from T12 to T8. I figure 4 of them on the 150 might be adequate - we'll find out. Thanks for the reply.

Wow nice tank! I think the Kribs would be a good choice..try and get a pair..they are cool to watch digging around.. as for the rainbows I have never owned any but they are also a nice choice..I am setting up a 125 and want a community tank too..it's hard pickens when the tank is huge and the fish are small..I have 2 blood parrts so hopefully they will fill in the tank nicely..oh clown loaches are also a good choice and fun to watch as well

Cool tank
