Hi I just got a new tank and all though Im not new to having fish I am new to keeping fish. Now I have my 60gal with my 9" Jag female but Ive always cleaned tanks the way my mom told me to since she always paid for the tank her way was to do a full 100% water change cleaning the gravel to where theres not bones, feces or scales and cleaning out the entire filter and wall of the tank to where it was just like a new tank. Well I bought my first big tank the 60gal but dont know how much of a water change I need to do. I also dont know what best test kits to use for ammonia and even how to use them. I am in the process of trying to get my Jag more use to pellots then live feeders and just bought new filter brushes, algae scraper, net and syphon along with some Hikari Cichlid Gold fish food. Any and all info would be helpful thanks alot now in the process of saving money to buy another tank for my Gibbiceps or bigger tank for my jag and put my gibbiceps in the 60gal after that I will start searching for my Mega Tanks or 300gal tanks.
