hey,
guess what i just got!
A 60 gallon tank with a stainless steel stand off hard garbage!
It rocks, i went and bought 3 discus at the lfs strait after cleaning and setting it up,
i will try to get some pics of it in the next couple of days

lol, you probabaly are gonna wanna cycle that tank as discuss are very sensitive and probably wont handle a fishy cycle too well.

nah i didnt cycle it bue got the 60 galons outta the 90 gallon thruogh a coupole of water changes

Water doesn't cycle the tank. It will have the correct parameters but when you add the fish there won't be any bacteria to eat the ammonia.

congrats on the tank, but you need to bring over filter medium and substrate if you are going to do a quick cycle. if you move over enough stuff, you can instantly cycle the tank, good luck.

It is possible that water could help speed up the cycle cause there are spores in there, but it still needs to cycle, the actual bacteria don't live in the water, they live on surfaces. Take some gravel, decorations or filter media and put it in the tank.
