This is being set up as a neccessity..I need to move my angels since the breeding pair is hogging the 55...LOL

so I'll be moving the other 6 to a 75 with the danios...I'll seed the new tank with some gravel from my UGF set up in the 55 and one of the sponges from the ac in the 55..

now I need to figure out what else I may add to the angel tank...maybe some rams??

I thought about that..but if there are 6 angels that doesn't leave much room for discus..of course I may wind up with an additional 40 gallon tank...LOL

Discus are known to do well with Angels

What??? Discus and angels should not be kept together. Discus are very shy and will never be able to out compete the Angels at feeding time. You could add a school of cardinals in with them, maybe even a pair of rams. If you want to keep Discus they are better kept in a species only tank.

My 75g Angel tank has 6 angels, 8 corys, 3 (huge) blue rams, 1 snakeskin gourami, 1 redtailed shark, 1 bulldog pleco, and a couple ottos (not sure how many lol... probably 3, but will be more eventually)

I've seen plenty of discus kept in non-species tanks... just have to be careful.

it will have 5-6 angels..probably not discus I think the discus would require more room (figuring 10 gallon rule)
It will have atleast 1 bn pleco since I'm moving thr bn out of the 55.

I am thinking maybe a couple rams..and the danios..tho I had thought about cardinals.

keep the ideas coming

thanks

i know you've decided against discus

just wanted to say that the 2 species can be kept together provided there is adecuate room- Takashi Amano himself has tanks with both fish.

Dwarfs (apistos, rams, keyhoels) should get alongfine with angels. They hog the bottom and the angels get mid-tank on up.

mooman..that looks like the route i am going to go..as it turns out there will only be 5 angels in this tank..I lost the veil last night..

so there will be 2 gold, two leopards and a smokey koi blusher..and dwarf cichlids.
