Almost 12 months had past since I last replaced my bulbs, so I ordered up 2 new ones, installed them, and suddenly my plants aren't doing so great.

Old bulbs - 2 x 96w 6700K
New bulbs - 1 96w 6700K, 1 96w 5000K

Is this most likely due to an sudden increase in usable energy from the new bulbs? The plants are looking wilted and the leaves are hanging down instead of growing up toward the light.

Tank is 60 gallons, I've got a CO2 drip, temps about 78, water conditions are good, etc. I cut back on the light to about 4-5 hours from 7-8, and even started turning off one of the bulbs.

Any ideas? I'd be grateful :)

im a bit confused. you cut down on the lighting to 4-5 hours AFTER you saw your plants werent doing so good??

i'd leave them on for 8-10 hours, the plants may take some time to adjust to the new color.
