i was wondering what the best filter i could get for a prety reasonable price. i want a filter for a 10-20 gallon tank. what are your reccommendations?

i like whisper brand, but most will say a penguin.

i have one now but it gets clogged too easily. i have to clean it every 2 weeks or so. and the arm is bent already. its only about 5 months old.

I personally like the biowheels, they make me feel safe with the extra bacteria in the wheels (you never replace them, unless they break ;) )

Same here! Its a safe feeling knowing that you have a bonus.
I have a really stable tank with that biowheel filter along with my UGF so that when I had ~14 fishes dumped in my tank in once with my other residents (divider was in place). I was housing them while my friend set up his tank and I've never once saw ammonia or nitrite spike just the nitrate rose quite quickly than usual. That was taken care of by increasing my water change. Honestly I was really amazed at how efficent filters I have. :thm: BTW the fish are back at my friend's place and they all are doing fine, not a single fish loss expect for a guppy fry that probably have been eaten by one of my angel fish

AquaClear allow you to add an assortment of media in the basket like foam to remove debris, carbon, bio-balls, and whatever else that you would like-regarding that you would need a pouch to hold your own concocksions ( i know spelling is bad)
