New Fish In The Tank

that rule ony works for fish around 1"
even then, it seems dumb
if you had that rule then you could do this- 5 oscars in a 60 gallon or a blood parrot in a 10 gallon or even a discus in an 8 gallon
maybe a kissing fish in those eclipse 12 gallon tanks with the filter included!

see what i mean?

id have to deny this.
typical 10 gallon fish tanks are 10x20, and fish need 5x's their length, which would be four inches in this case, so no, that tank is not to small

Alright so each of my Catfish need about 10-15" and the Gourami needs 20" so my tank is fully stocked I think. Right?

I looked this fish up. I didn't find alot of info, but it said a 10 gallon would be okay for a smaller fish, but full grown a 20 gallon would best suit this fish. Also, is your tank planted? Fish like these really like plants. Paradise Gouramis can be aggressive. You could possibly get the neons if the tank is planted, but there is no guarantee that the gourami could bully them.

Its not yet planted. That is on my to do list. Another question is how long do you have to boil rocks until you can put them into your tank? They are regular river rocks.
