New German Gold Rams

Well I went out last night and got some sinking wafer but not the cichlid formula, because all they had was the floating type. Now I am breaking these up and dropping them in and they are going right to the bottom but the rams are still just sitting at the front of the glass looking out and swimming back and forth. There is no competition for them but they really just don't seem to see where the food is. I will see the larger of the two dip into the gravel from time to time but not near where the food pellets are the smaller doesn't even seem to be trying that. I know this is only the 4th day they have been in the tank, they went in on Wednesday around 7 pm or so, but the colors have returned to what they were in the tank at the LFS, they are swimming about exploring up into the middle areas of the tank, and they are not dodging away from the other fish any more. When should I get really worried about them not getting much to eat? I have read that some people don't feed their fish everyday but I feed mine small amounts usually twice a day and watch to make sure it all gets eaten. Right now I am pulling the sinking wafer things out after about an hour of hoping they will find them, but that has only been fed twice, once last night and once this morning.

temp is around 79-80 degrees F

The male got some of the frozen brine shrimp I put in last night and I see him eating stuff from the bottom when it gets there but I still haven't seen the female eat.

I am going to up the temp to 82 or so and see how that affects everyone.

Mine kinda do the same thing. Most of my other community fish just swim up higher in the water column to eat. I ussually drop some flake (tetramin crisps) under my hob outflow which forces the flakes down towards the bottom. My Bolivian Ram will take them on there way down, along with my Gourami and tetras. The GBRs on the other hand will let them hit the bottom and pick at them on the bottom. The GBRs are always sifting through the sand even when it appears nothing is around. I bought my Bolivian Ram as a "Gold ruby Ram". I knew it was a Bolivian just named diferently.
