I am dealing with dropsy too. I just put in a teaspoon of Epsom Salts per gallon of water, raised the temp to about 80, and added Maracyn 2. It seems to be working quite well.
There's been evidence that raising temperature with bacterial infections can make it worse, I personally would keep a steady temperature (but 80F isn't that high).
