Hello ! I'm a new hobbyist. Funny story. I won goldfish at a regional fair, spent $100 on tank and supplies... and they promptly died the next day! I'd been considering getting a tank for some time and considered this my sign. Set it up and got a Betta. What should I get to help with algae? Shrimp? Catfish? Loaches? My dad kept fish when I was a kid. I won't say he was a serious hobbyist since he had Piranhas 1st then Arowanas... all of which promptly jumped out of the tank. Advice welcome! Thanks!
