New Kuhli Loaches

So today I got new stripped loaches from the store to accompany my other three that I got a while back. The first ones I got was when I didnt know a thing about fish so I never qt them, but now that I know more, I want to but dont know what will work since they are sensitive to medication. Should I be using salt? They're really tiny so Im not sure if that makes things even more difficult. Help please ^ ^;;? One of the pictures has a chopstick outside of the floating bag to show how tiny they are. Sorry for the bad quality T.T

if your trying to QT. All you do is put them in a difrent tank and make sure they dont show signs of being sick. If you trust your LFS then just drop the bag in the tank and temp match then put them in.

no reason to add salt unless you are treating something. sounds like its time to invest in a QT.

Right, so that means I should just put them in an empty tank and see how that goes, or should I dump them in my community tank? They look perfectly healthy from what I can tell

a QT is a separate tank people use to treat and some to prevent from making their other fish sick. Me personally i just acclimate and then drop in.Its really just a matter of opinion. there is also people that drip acclimate, but that is another story.

Well I know what a QT is, I just don't know if I should add anything in there asides from water if it did have something that could cause other fish to be sick and I just can't see it. :/

it can take 1-2 weeks before signs of diseases show up some times even longer. just because it doesnt look sick right now doesnt mean it isnt. well normally you would add a filter but if you dont have a extra seeded filter just fresh water and wc the tank daily.

When and if the diseases do show up, what should I do? Also, when QT is over, do you suggest soft rounded pebbles or white sand for the tank's substrate?

you treat it. when the qt is over empty the tank out and keep it dry until the next fish you get.
