Hello, I am a new member found this site while surfing the net. I belong to 2 other sites as well and enjoy getting on line and learning as much about fish as possible. I have 3 female bettas which are not very old at the moment, figure they are within 1 yr.
I have 2 Aquscene 5 Aquariums that I picked up at Petsmart for nothing. I love yardsales and I found 2 of these tanks without lights for a dollar each. I called Petsmart to see if they could sell me a light to go on the tanks and they mentioned that they did not sell TOPFIN parts, so I emailed TOPFIN and they told me to take the tank to Petsmart and they would replace it. This weekend I went to Petsmart and picked up 2 39.99 dollar tank setups for if you want to say 1.00 each the amount I picked up my yardsale tanks for.
My other female is in a 3 gallon critter deeper tank/with lid that I also picked up at a yardsale for 1.00 so I have been very fortunate with picking up good sales.

Ya, I go to yardsales as often as I can when I got money, I also have 3 small Ocean Free 1.5 gallon setups that I bought at Petco last year for under 5.00 each they were originally 20 something dollars. They came with a small filter and a very small lamp/light. I also have 2 10's not setup and a 5 gallon aquarium (glass) that was free that he shortly will be getting a light and hood for it.

my mom surprised me and found a 10G tank outside a dumpster!!! (looks like they treated it with ich the edges are blue) a good cleaning and a trip to petsmart and 23 bucks later the cyciling process begins!!!
