well it took my JD about 6 months to get to this size.
i have kept him (if it is a HIM!) in a larger tank.
had good water, and feed him beefheart mix.
(mix has lots of good stuff in it, shrimp, peas, spinage etc...)
and yes it has some very dark blues.
the picture looks pretty much like the real fish.
i was told the darker the colors the better the fish is.
(happy, healthy, etc...)
LOL - ok i'm getting both male and female coming back.
how about telling me what a female should look like, and what a male should look like, and i'll look at it and guess!
