i got some rummy nose tetras yesterday and they have not eaten in two days, i tried to feed them tetramin flakes and some freeze dried bloodworms even sinking wafers that i feed my cories but they dont seem to eat them. they do go for them but they jus spit them back out, and their red colors seem pretty red, you guys have any ideas?

Please be patient with your fish. You've got them for only two days which means they have not settled in your tank yet or accustomed to the food you give them.;)

at what point should i start worrying if this continues? would it be a good idea to feed more frequently?

Nope, don't feed more frequently, its the same old story, when they settle and get hungry they'll eat. It probably won't last much longer, but don't forget they could have been in transit to the shop lately so they could be a bit stressed out. fish can live for a couple of weeks without eating so don't worry too much just yet

If they're reddened up, they're healthy. I wouldn't sweat it. If they go another day or two without eating try some live brine (mine go out of their little minds for them). How large are the rummies? You may need to crush the flakes into smaller pieces if they're still real small.

mine is planted. i just fed them and they still not taking my flakes, i saw some did eat but they seemed really really picky about it, other than that they just swim around the flakes stare at them and spit them out. most of them are almost adult size and i do crush the flakes for them. if i do feed them live brine will they eat them once and be hooked on them and never take my flakes??

Given a variety, they shouldn't get "hooked" on any one food. Is it possible that the flakes are old?

shouldnt be, i just opened it like 2 weeks ago, i bought it around a month ago, it was completely sealed.
