New Shrimp Colony

Hello guys, here to show off my new shrimp colony tank 20 gallons heavily planted:
25 Cherry shrimps call this their new home
Really got bitten by the aquarium bug now after setting up my pond (still have the toad issue xD)

Main problem I am facing is hair algae so thinking about adding a DIY co2 system, also thinking about adding some otos because they are just super cute (too bad they dont eat hair algae)
Was wondering how many I can add if any in a 20G.

BTW how long does it normally take from saddle to berry?

How long are you lights on? Less light=less algae.

12 on 12 off right now to actually promote algae in case I get my otos but yeah cannot grow algae selectively I guess

Yeah, that's too long of a photoperiod. Try cutting back to 6-8 hours & manually removing the hair alga...1 issue at a time...then new fish...
