Hey everyone,

I am a return member, last visited id say 2005ish haha so this is looking new to me. A little background on myself; I have been into this hobby since 2005 but havent had the time, until now, to dedicate time to finally setting up a tank. I still need some advice and thanks in advance for helping me out guys!

PROPOSED TANK

Tank Size: 29Gallons (30x12x18) [Glass] w/ generic fluorescent light hood
Substrate: Play Sand / Possibly a diffrent type sand
Heater: Generic 100W Subm.
Filter: Emperor 280 Power Filter (Or equiv.)

PROPOSED STOCKING

8-10 Neon Tetras [Mid Level]
3-6 Cory's (Peppered) [Bottom Level]
(!) Need something to fill in top space (SUGGESTIONS NEEDED!!!)
4-7 Shrimp (Bumblebee)
*I dont know if they will mix with the corys?
2-4 Gilled Snails
*Also dont know how they will mix with proposed fish

Like I said this is a work in progress but I want to start buying my equipment probably by Thursday so I can get my cycling going by the end of the week.
Any advice, diffrent equpiment or fish suggestions are greatly welcomed and appreciated.

Thanks,

:welcome: back to AC!

Several invertebrates should be fine with cories and neons. What species of cories are you going to try? Stick with 6 minimum number.

I personally am a fan of the peppered (paleatus) cories. I assume that these guys will do well in sand? Please correct me if im wrong.

Thanks,

10x Neons
6x Cories
2x Clown killie (or other small killie)
6x BB shrimp
4x Gilled snail

Does this work for you? :)

You could do a small school of hatchet fish. They stay at the top of the tank and look nice swimming through the plants and decor.

By the way. welcome back to Aquaria Central.
