New Tank Problems

you should not worry about the particles i dont think it is anything to worry about just fish them out with a net as far as the white stuff just scrape it off probabally nothing to worry about. There are many professionals on this site one of the best forums In my opinion. you may want to buy a tap water filter you can get these at your local pet store or drsfostersmith.com also if you arent happy with the feedback here ask dr. Foster or Dr smith at the website I just gave you. If you have filter media from another tank you can put that in the new tank to speed up cycling I have 5 tanks and I used media from the first cycled tank and the other four cycled in less than a week. Good luck it looks like the water is not the best there and most of the problem is from the tap.
 
Thanks for all the help. A little aquarium salt seems to have taken care of the particle problem. And I decided to use Bio-Spira to cycle the tank, which seems to be making the white streaks go away.
