So i was in my garage, and came across a 10 gallon fish tank and decided i would like some fish, so i went out a bought all the necessary equipment it lacked. I set up the tank and let it sit for a couple of days, then proceeded to go out and buy some fish. My tank has no heater, and seems to stay about 72 degrees. At first I bought some tiger barbs because i liked them, got them home, but after some research i decided i did not have the room to keep them happy seeing as they are schooling fish and semi aggresive. So i returned them and ended up getting one zebra danio and two black skirt tetras. In about a week i plan to add some more but i would like some suggestions on some interesting fish that will live well in the habitat im providing. Probably no more than two or three more small fish will work well. Basically i want some color and activity in my tank, selection seems limited but maybe im just not looking in the right places.

rainbowfish all are large active fish and need more space than a ten gallon provides.

you could keep one of the following as a personality or centerpeice fish,

betta
blue ram, might be not as hardy and tend to live only about 18 months on average
dwarf gourami
or a group like 5 or 6 medium sized tetras like pristilla, black phantom, or neons

and a bottom fish or three of the same kind

2 khulie loaches or
3 corries

if you put much more than that the water quality is harder to keep good for the fish in a small tank like a ten gallon and a second tank is suggested if you want more fish or larger fish.

I really like the blue ram, though i have not seen any in the two fish stores ive been to yet, have to do some searching for that one.

Couldn't find any good pictures of corries??
