I got a new 10 gal standard size tank. Come with all the necessary bits to start it up as an aquarium. I'm planning on seeding from my 40 gal, throwing some plants in there, and generally making it look pretty before I add fish.
Only question is, what do I put in this tank?
I originally planned on shuffling the fish I already have in between tanks. I'd like to move my ADFs into this new tank, but that can be worked around.
I'd also like to try to breed rams. I have a male German Blue right now; is it possible to put a pair in there?
Anyone have ideas?

If you really want to breed blue rams, then for a 10g, they should be the only ones in the tank. Most people suggest 20g minimum however due to the space it can provide if ever domestic violence happens.

A community tank with sparkling gouramis, hara hara and ember tetras would be my option.

Hara hara as in the little catfish? I don't even know where it would be possible to FIND one of those.
I'm out on the Rams, I guess. No big.
So maybe I could move my sparkling in there? I'm thinking maybe two of the smaller otos too.
I think most, if not all of the bottom dwellers I have aren't fit for a 10..
Also, I'm not a huge fan of tetras.

A 10g can support 5 sparkling gouramis well enough. Otos are good substitutes for hara haras. How about celestial pearl danios instead of tetras?

CPDs are SO small. OMG small. I love how small they are, but the only store that has them is selling them for not-cheap and they have been steadily dying out.
I was really hoping to stick within the stocking limits of my current tanks, though. Light on money, you know.
