im gettin ride of the cichlids in the tank giving them to some guy who breeds dempseys and other cichlids so im, keeping the clown loach and 2 giant danios
thinking of adding 1 more clown loach and 3 kuluhi loaches also 4 opaline gouramis or 4 german blue rams is this a good idea
you should get rid of the clown loaches too, and stick with a smaller or thinner breed, the khulis are a good idea. the clowns will get 8-11 inches and be fat. too big for the 35gal.

So you have a clown loach crammed into your 35g tank... Go up top there and have a look at species profiles, it gets to 12" and needs a minimum 65 gallon tank... So you're going to get TWO and stuff them in a 55 gallon? MAYBE? WHEN and IF you ever actually upgrade?
Come on man, you say you're here to learn... then LEARN and do what the experienced people are telling you to do.

It would be well advised to use a 125 gallons as the minimum size tank size for an adult clown loach...However it would most likely take a clown loach over 10 years to grow to this size...if it ever attained it. If you had a 55 gallon tank (a 75 gallon would be preferable as it is wider) you could keep 3-5 clown loaches comfortably until they were over 6" which could take them up to 5 years to reach. However if you are not going to buy a 125 gallon or bigger tank in the next 4 or 5 years, then you should not keep clown loaches.

Also clown loaches should not be housed with African cichlids for two reasons...clowns prefer very different water conditions, and they can be very territorial as they age which could cause complications with the cichlids.
