I'm sorry! Dead fish often look beaten up & whitish. Stressed fish are more susceptible to other diseases.

The wood fungus & pale fish could be from higher temp &/or no lights. Can you post a pic or 2?

I'm not sure 86F is enough to do more than speed up the ich lifecycle, I've never tried though. I would have the lights on at least so you can study the fish for signs of ich or anything else.

Hey Guys,

Weird thing but when i got this clown loach i cut its side spikes off with a nail clipper. I know this may sound cruel but my kids were touching it and it made him cry so i cut the spike off thinking they were just nails ..

Has anyone ever come across something like this ?
My clown loach is now hiding and very quite .

Any advice ?

thanks

Seriously...bad plan.

Touching fish is very stressful for them. It damages their slime coat, leaving them more open to infection.

Those spikes are defensive, and tied in to a bundle of nerves and muscles which could be damaged by this, and they don't grow back. Not a good idea.
