New to site, but not much of a poster........
Have 2 aquariums, a 50gal planted (white sand over gravel over organic garden soil) and a 30 gal planted (white sand over gravel/flourite mix). Both have diy c02 (jello mix) and use the power filter pickup tubes in a crazy but effective design of my own to diffuse the gas into the water. Both tanks have been going 4-5 years. The fish are mostly a variety of tetra, oto, and a couple of old suspicious clown loaches. Very much a low maintenance high relaxation setup.
