Hi everyone.

My daughter and I have recently become obsessed with fish. We started with a small 2.8g tank and 4 guppies. We now know a few more guidlines and have a 10g tank along with our 2.8g and have one Molly, 4 guppies and 2 platties, one being a fry from a deceased platty. We are still going through the joys of getting our tank to cycle and have been through 3 female guppies and 3 female platties. Our males seem to be the stronger fish when it comes to cycling the tanks. We have also dealt with ich but that cleared up with a salt treatment. We have learned so much but obviously we are still learning as we go. We are waiting to move to a new house to start a 30g tank. We can't wait.

Hello and Welcome to the AC...and looking forward to updates on the future tank along with the house....welcome and enjoy...

Welcome to AC!

Hello...........:welcome:

Thanks for the welcome everyone. We have the 30g tanks just sitting in a corner. It leaks and we need to reseal it. Since we have nowhere to set it up yet it will have to wait until we move into our new house. At that point my son's 2.8g will become our qurentene tank and we will likely use the 10g as a breeding/fry tank. We have one male golddust molly, one male guppy onse swordfin female Platy and two fancytail guppy females both which appear to be pregnant (so we were told at the lfs). These are in our 10g. In my sons 2.8g we have one male guppy and a female(we think)Platy fry about 2 months old. We are having so much fun learning about fish and although cycling the tank has brought a few disappointments we are learning how to do it without losing any m ore fish thanks to a very knowlegable manager at the LFS who is walking us through it all.
