Well, I went and picked this up on Tuesday.:)

Now What? It's a 135. It's not drilled. I'd like to use a sump set up with it, so I guess I need an HOB overflow. What size sump should I use? Also, I haven't really decided which way I want to go with it. I'm upgrading from a 55 community tank (and I enjoy that,) but I'm up for suggestions (ideas.) I was thinking about arowana? Or maybe cichlid?

ooooo!!! Nice size! I would get some polypterus personally! What fish will you be moving into the tank from your 55g?

Well, I haven't really decided yet. I've almost talked myself into keeping the 55 set up where it is (just haven't convinced the wife it's a good idea yet)

Alright, I've decided that I'm going to use pool filter sand as a substrate. I'll take pics.

Very nice.
It would make a nice cichlid community tank. To small for an arowana though unless you put a jardini in there but that would be the only fish you could have, or an asian arowana but they are illegal in the states.

can't wait to see pics.

I know you will have lots of fun with this tank.

WOW!!!!!I guess I shoulda been nice instead of naughty this year. :evil_lol: Can't help w/ the 'sump' or 'pump' ideas (there are plenty of folks on here who can) but any of the larger canister filters from Eheim, Rena, Fluval ect. should serve you well. Even an in-line setup from OceanClear or LifeGuard. The choices & combos are endless! As for inhabitants, maybe a species specific tank. How about a shoal of frontosa? (damnit, let me dream!) :) Again, the choices are endless!! Can't wait for pics of your decision. Congrats & best of luck, "T"
