Maybe the "I hate knockoffs" comment is more ethics oriented, like the way people hate Walmart because it puts mom and pops out of business.

I'm sure it's an awesome filter that's every bit as good as the Marineland canister it imitates.

i actually think the company that makes sunsun actually makes some parts for marineland but i cant be sure i know people where talking about it in a previous thread. in that respect it sort of isn't a knock off.

I got one not to long ago , it's on my shop 72. I was able to hook up the spray bar so that it's close to the top of the tank. This is the first spray bar I have ever had. I ran my co2 into the spot where the surface skimmer is, drilled a hole in the cap , works great. I will have to bring the camera to work and get some pics for ya.
For 78 bucks how can you not at least try one out.

I'm not so sure it's a knockoff...as I've been told, the Sun Sun and the Marineland C-series are the same filter...produced by Sun Sun.

That happens a lot in china. They manufacture brand name and off brand products in the same factories. Just like anything else, you could be buying junk. It's nice we have people here willing to take the risk.
