Hello all,

Brand new to the fish world and to this forum. I actually don't own fish at the time but I am hoping to set up a tank in my room soon.

A little about me: I am a girl living in Alberta, Canada. I am a first year university student going for my bachelor of general sciences. And the usual question asked, no I really don't know what I want to do from there. I am just in it right now to see what I like.

My favorite kind of fish are Gold Fish. I love the big eyed goldfish or the ones with the bulbous heads ( like orandas)

I am looking into purchasing some Black Moor goldfish sometime within the next month or so, and joined this forum to try and find more info about fishies! I have never owned a fish before so I want to try and get as much info as possible.
I have posted in the Newbie Fresh Water board and have been cruising around there a bit. Trying to absorb as much info as possible.

Hope to chat with some people soon :)

Hello.........:welcome:

Hi all, I have a 35ltr tank and followed all the instuctions and advice of the i got from the shop i bought it from. I first i got 2 female and 2 male guppy fish, they were doing well so i got the water tested after a week and it was fine so i got a betta. they were doing well. I got the water tested again and then i got 2 lyretail dalmation mollies. one male and 1 female. they seemed to fit right in. suddenly 3 days after (today, about 2 hours ago) i found the male dead at the bottom of the tank. He was fine when i fed them this morning. I removed him fromhte tank and the female was acting wierd. she kept swimming up and down and side to side in a small circle by the filter, like she was trying to swim up but kept dropping back down. she seems to have settled again now though. can some one tell me why he might of died and what i did wrong. thanks alot
