Ok, so I've found myself in a "Newbie with MTS" dilema. I had one 29G tank that I struggled with and found a great deal for a fully setup (though I need to upgrade some things) 29L. Now, I've come across a free 75G setup that I just can't pass up. Below are the tank specs and stocking. I'd really appreciate any and all advice as to how best to balance them out, acclimate them if I move them. Details on how to setup the RUGF (I understand the principle, but don't quite "get" the setup) would also be hugely helpful. I'd also like advice on possible avenues to find the Plecos good homes (My LFSs won't take them and I fear if they did, they'd just be resold as "suckerfish" to someone with a new 10G tank).

29G
Eclipse 150
RENA XP2
15W Aqua Gro Light
1 Angelfish (Silver Dollar Sized)
2 Dwarf Neon Blue Gourami
1 Yoyo Loach
1 Common Pleco (Will be going to a larger home)
4 Pepper Cories

29G (Newly Acquired as is, soon to be upgraded)
Top Fin 30
6 Tiger Barbs
2 Red Tailed Sharks
1 Gibby Pleco
1 MTS Snail

75G (Coming soon)
Aqua Clear 300
4-5 Fancy Guppies
3-4 Various Mollies
1 Pleco (He was hiding, but I'd assume it's a common)
6 Various Gourami

My current plans are to add XP2s to the 29L & 75 and try to figure out how to do a RUGF setup on the 75.

hope that helps with rugf. basically with a powerhead you push water into the tubes.

i used craigslist to find homes for fish i have got with tanks. i just made sure they were not over stocked and had the space.

the 29g you should think about the 2 RTS they are very mean. they will attack each other and then the rest of the fish in teh tank.

with the 75 gal i would go with a xp3.

Thanks Mg. The Larger RT will be moving to the 75. I'll have to check out Craigslist for some Pleco homes (great idea that I hadn't thought of for some reason). I was planning on adding an XP2 and keeping the Aqua Clear 300 on it... do you think it would be better to go with the XP3 instead of the XP2 and removing or leaving the AC300?
