hi everyone. First, I apologize for posting my thread "can't find dead fish" on more than one forum. I didn't realize that was not a good thing to do....my incentive was just like when I go fishing (another hobby)....more lines in the water = more bites. My bad.

Anyhoo, my tank is doing fine, despite not being able to find and remove and find the body...the cleaner crew and our biological filter must be doing the trick, because water testing yields negtive ammonia, nitrite, nitrate.

And now I find myself once again pulling the reins in on my lovable but over eager hubby. He is already talking replacement for our lost family member (fox faced rabittfish). I am saying "WHOA there big guy. lets watch and wait a couple of weeks." Make sure things are stable.

He sees my wisdom, but I'd better start my research now about who would be a happy addition. I'd like to ask you guys for your suggestion.

We have a 92 gallon tank, sump pump for filtration, good lighting (ask my husband for those specs, he does the mechanics, I do the biology). A couple of small circulating pumps..a happy clean tank; we do 10% water changes every weekend.

Residents: 6 varioius leathers, 2 colt corals, 3 bubble corals One mushroom, a baby that got transorted into this tank on rock we transferred from a previous tank. Various hermit crabs and snails and one stowaway urchin. A couple of "cleaner shrimp" myhusband picked up without me. These were to help fish with an external parasite. It worked!

Fish residents include one yellow tailed damsel (one of the first members of the first tank!! tough guy) two clowns, one blue koran angel, one flame angel. so, just four right now. We're happy with a low occupancy rate....
the blue koran is the big boy of the tank right now - 4+ inches. One of the clowns has decided to grow and is probably 3 ", about the same length of the flame angel. The second clown is a tad smaller. Damsel is the smallest guy but sturdy and growing.

Tank has been up and stable for a year and a half. We "graduated" to this 92 gallon from a 46 gallon. Unfortunately we don't have room in the living areas of the house to keep both going, so we had to transfer residents from one to another. A huge undertaking but we were successful for the most part....can share this experience with others if they find themselves in the same boat. We gradually added more live rock over time, along with other fish and corals to reach the level of residency I described above.

The foxface had been with us for some time and we miss his personality and bright yellow color. I would consider getting another one....
I also like the yellow tangs but my husband thinks they are too aggressive. I know they can be, but I figure we have the space to help alleviate those tendencies, especially if we get a smaller one.
Hubby is thinking of another angel....I like them, but associate them with coral picking tendencies...our Koran even now picks a bit on one of the leathers...

I favor a yellow color to contrast the blues and oranges we have...so....any suggestions?

interesting that you said that, because our flame angel is smaller and has never been witnessed in the act of coral picking. The Blue Koran is larger, and he's the one that has a taste for leather corals...
Tank is stable and fine, hoping to hold hubby off for another week or so longer! thanks for the suggestions. I am thinking that the angels are different enough not to evoke the aggressive side of a tang?
