Went out today and caught some wild NH brookies. Lots of fun on a light fly rod.

Beautiful fish! I'd rather catch a 6" Brookie than a 20" Rainbow or Brown anyday.

On dries?? I love tossing dries on my 2 wt sage

The water is still pretty cold for dries. These were caught on Pheasant Tail Nymphs. I was using a big orange stimulator though and one of the more aggressive guys shot up and hit it. Unfortunately the hook was a bit too big for his little brookie mouth. I guess that's why they call it a stimulator!

I was throwing a 3 weight, but these guys were making me want a 1 weight bamboo. That would be a great rod.
