Well, yes and no. True kribensis, Pelvicachromis pulcher, have a few color variants based on red or yellow patterning on their bodies, usually in the throat region on males. I'm quite sure Southern Apistos had the red form available - http://www.geocities.com/mikefjacobs/pricelist.html
I just wanted to add that sometimes different species within the Pelvicachromis genus get all lumped together and called different 'forms'. For instance the Pelv. taeniatus group has several different color forms according to location of collection. So, I imagine its possible that the Nigerian Red form is not the actual kribensis species, but a related one. Course, could be true kribensis too! I would try to get pictures of the Nigerian red form and attempt to match them to whats available. Also try aquabid.com under Cichlids - Other for several auctions running on different species of Pelvicachromis.
Oh, final thought, be sure to get a pair if you go with two in a 20 gallon and try to get fish that have already paired up in the dealers' tank. If you get two fish that dont like one another there isnt a lot of room in a 20 gallon for them to escape aggression.
