Nitrates at last!

Ok Ive been fishless cycling my 75g with sump for about 3 weeks. Until today I never tested for Nitrates. Today I decided to test for Nitrates, and they are almost off the chart . My Ammonia went down for the 1st time today, and my Nitrites are also maxed.

Your almost there. When ammonia reads 0 and nitrites read 0 , your tank will be cycled

It seems like my Ammonia is going down on a regular basis. I have to keep adding more to keep things at 5ppm. However, the Nitrite readings are a bit confusing. When I do the Nitrite test, it goes immediately to the max reading (dark pink) then after a few minutes it changes to an orange color, then yellow. Orange and yellow arent on the chart, just green,gray, and pink.
