Nitrites vs. Nitrates

^^ what I was going to say...

Up your water changes in both volume & frequency. 1ppm is too high for NO2.
:iagree: up the water changes you may need daily changes

Now I'm really confused, Chenya says add more fish, while the rest of the posts say more larger water changes, while others say wait it takes time for Nitrites to switch to Nitrates...............WOW??????

I Just Want to Add that feeder fish are not to be used for cycling
Can Someone Maybe Confirm with me and you will lose that sort of fish yeah
Feeder Fish Can come with diseases even and is not always recommended to your fish unless
u no the source
You Get Some Products u can add in the water just check at your LFS

I think the basic issue here is the ethical question of using fish as disposable ammonia sources. I doubt the label "feeder fish" makes any difference to the level of self-awareness a fish has, its capacity to suffer and the ethical conclusions one might want to draw. Certainly we're seeing relative carnage here.

Adding more fish is a bad idea. Water changes are a good one. Water changes will keep the fish alive whilst the cycle progresses. It will not slow it down, contrary to popular myth.

It is always advisable to do a fishless cycle as its less mean :)
