I notice seveal people on this site mention about how they have a problem with algae...I don't! In 2 1/2 yearsw of owning a tank, i have never had an algae problem...is it just me, or am i doing something wrong, or perhaps right...let me know...thanx sooo much!

Nothing wrong with no algae...unless you're trying to keep mbuna or other fish which need a whole bunch of algae in order to stay alive.
How much light do you have over your tank? Haw many gallons (or litres)?
You don't even have the green algae that sticks to the glass?

Apparentally, your tank is very ballanced, people would kill to have the right balance of neutrients like you do.
No algae is a good thing, although in some cases it CAN mean an unhealthy (unbalenced) aquarium. I tend to agree with most here, no algae is a good thing to have! 
Several of my tanks have no algae and some do...it depends on where at in my room the tanks are located and what fish I have in the tanks. For example, some of my goldfish tanks which are by the windows and lights are lightly coated with green algae but proper cleanings gets rid of the unsightly mess. In my livebearer tanks which I am currently trying to breed, the fish all eat the algae if it gets a chance to form...especially my mollies!
