I have been reading on here about worms being Nocturnal. So I did some rigging and made a red light out of a flashlight and red constuction paper. Last night while watching my all time favorite Nip/Tuck, I put a blanket over the tank to keep the light from the tv out. After I finished watching my show (1 hour long), I ducked my head under the blanket with the flashlight, AND BEHOLD I saw the ugliest worm i have ever see. I want to try to explain him cause my camera will not do pic in the dark.
He was very long and stretchy...Black (or very dark) with tan or off white stripes around his body. When he moved he didnt slither like a worm, He would roll from the inside out and get longer and thinner... I know it sounds crazy but that is what he did ... I have it video taped with my camcorder but dont know how to set up steaming video.... Please help the life of my fishez may depend on it (LOL). AThis is the best pic i could get...

hehehe.....dont worry...there completely harmless!! tho they are **** ugly arent they? some nights i have these things everywhere!! they are a trip how they "roll from inside out" though!! if you notice, when it completely "rolls out" it will have tiny bristles all the way around its head/mouth! they also help the biological filter by "pushing" water through the live rock, exposing it to the benificial bacteria! It is a Peanut Worm or sipunculid worm. heres a link on them....... glad i can help!!
