during your last water change was there a lot of mulm or debris stirred up into the water column? i have an angel with long fins like yours and whenever there is a lot of debris floating during a rescape or large gravel vac/water change the debris does collect a little on the ends of the fins. a day or so after said rescape/water change the debris is gone.

That definitely doesn't look good, but it will probably work its way out. If the fins are still like that in a couple weeks you may have to take them off.

oops, sorry, i meant take off the knots.

:D When I read my first thought was "How would you trim a fishes fins?"

There is always junk in the water after a water change because I can't help my self when it comes to rearranging plants :o
I'll watch him and see what happens. If they don't go away in a day or so I'll get with froglover007 and see about a little fin trim :naughty:
Thanks for the quick replies.

Looks very much like 'tank dust'. Kinda like to see the rest of the fish as it looks like the fin is connected to a DD SV:drool:

If the area expands, increases in area or you see anything on the body proper send a PM or email. I'm loaded with stuff to do (not online much) but sadly I've treated angels before (hate having sick fish) over the years (too many) to be as dumb as I am LOL. Looks like dust though SV's get this moving around plants more than other fish due to they're hovering movement.
