Your thinking of the wrong snails. I had three of the snails suggested for atleast two years and they never once gave me any babies.

Apple snails do not reproduce like the common snail that is a hitchiker on plants. They will not overpopulate your tank and looks kinda cool.

Don't have to lower it that much. I had the water right at the trim piece, mine laid 6 clutches.

10 gallon tank has a BUNCH of baby snails; when they get dime size moving to my other tanks.

Since have moved the two adults to another tank; got enough Brigs to last mee for a long time!

see...nothing wrong with an apple snail plus i cant think of many alteratives

Yeah i wouldnt mind apple snails. Can they live with shrimp and an ADF? In fact will shrimp live with an ADF anyway?
