came home again today and found one of my ghost shrimp upside down just laying at the bottom of my tank. The first one i found dead was being eaten, the second i found all ripped up in filtration, and now this! and another shrimp is still being inactive and abnormally white colored. the ammonia levels are next to zero, and im out of nitrate testers. im about to change the water which i do at least once a week, but it doesnt help...
I dont know what to do :(
Ripped up in filteration?!?!?! you shouldn't have filters that can fit the shrimps in the first place!!!

but what about the whitish fuzz on the gravel? i don't want to put any more creatures in there with that creepy looking stuff, and i've tried so much but i cant get rid of it...

i had them once in my goldfish tank (i dunno why but l love koi&goldfish)
i just let it stay and it went away... what could it be?

Ghost shrimp only spawn in brackish water I believe (which would explain why you can't get them to breed). You will see eggs on the females in FW, but I don't think they hatch.

If you have hard water (particularly if it has high copper or any type of heavy metal contaminents) it will kill your shrimp quickly. I've had them live several months, and they would probably live a little longer but I buy them as feeders, so I don't expect much. Longest lived I had was about 5 months before being eaten (usually during molt).
