not cloud but dust particles..

^^ OK ... but why do they appear .?? they are right from the time when i filled my tank with water .. i cleaned everything so well before.. but still its dere... and the filter i have is ony of the good ones as i have seen them in many tanks and they work fine.. i think its not becuase of filter ..

graver... Diatom's are any of numerous microscopic marine or freshwater algae having cell wall's containing silica. They are common in most aquarium's, but are more noticeable in new tanks. They are often mistaken for a bacteria bloom. As your tank cycles and matures they will become unnoticeable, and your fish will snack on them off ornaments and plant leaf's along with the other types of algae, hope this help's... ___ John

My water was looking VERY dusty for awhile. I thought it was maybe the bacterial bloom associated with new tanks since it's only 1 month old. I did a gravel vac a few days ago though and sucked up some rotting algae tablets that the fish never ate and some other crud that had sunk way to the bottom of the tank, underneath all of the gravel. Now it's looking MUCH better. There are still some small amounts of "dust" like stuff in the water, but not very much and you can only really see it very close up, from a distance it looks really clear.

i believe filter is not the problem because i have seen people using fsame filters over here and it works fine with them... .. my dust particles are not the prominent though... but when i turn my hood light on then from close they do appear.. from distance you cant see them but still it doesnt seem like crystal clear...

1-month old tank is still cycling.you might have acceptable levels but i guaranty its still cycling. stop cleaning for a wile and let it mature.in my experience mechanical filtration is good.but the more bio you have the better.i have vary Little for mechanical filtration.all bio.

k now i am getting very confuse that what exactly to do ... when i bought my aquarium i knew nothing about cycling ... i only knew that particular types of fishes can stay together and filteration should be good... now i have 8 fishes 6 are goldfishes and 2 catfishes...and as i have mentioend before that my tank is 40L ... now what exactly do i need to do .. regarding cycling and making my tank safe ....

Depending on the type of goldfish, they will need at least 10gal each.
Tank not cycled.
Can you take everything back and start over? I know you don't want to, but it's probably best for your fish. Then, while it's cycling, you can plan the next one out better.
