i recently bought a L number plec, dont have a clue which one, its white and gray/black lepord like. but anyway, its about 4 inches, cost £18 and is in my 4' tanganikian setup with lots of rock caves and such. this is where the problem arises, i put him in, and after having a little search around he found a nice big cave right in the middle, got sat in there and doesnt seem to move at all, not even when the Lamprologus calvus that wants the cave comes and has a go at him. i bought a blue tube which was supposed to bring him out, but no such luck, any ideas how i can start to appreciate my £18 i thought about those wafer things, what do you think?
cheers.

I guess the best advice I can give you is to be patient, and to change your expectations. Fish that are shy and hang out in caves will be shy, and hang out in caves, until there is a reason not to do so. I have several fish that I seldom see, and instead of trying to change them, I just appreciate the times they do come out.

Maybe look into the behavior before purchase, so you'll know what to expect next time? :) Sorry I don't have better advice.
