noticed something new on my live rock...

i was doing some severe maintance to my tank yesterday and noticed in the cave on one of my LR some red tree lookin stuff about 3/8in tall in 3 spots....


could it be coral? if so shouldnt it be on the outside in the light?

i would try to get a pic but it aint gona happen.....i cant get the camera to focus on them....

Sadly you can't really tell much without a picture. It could even be a type of macro aglae.

ill try to get a pic but the last time they didnt show up.....ill try to move the rock closer to the glass and get a pic...

I think i have the same thing. Its like peices of rock hard rocky growths. Possibly coraline algae?
