I made a huge mistake. I put a rock that I had collected from the beach in my betta tank without boiling it properly first and now there are seemingly millions of tiny white creatures swimming around. I removed the rock as soon as I noticed the creatures but they're literally everywhere: all over the glass, the heater, and in the sponge filter. I'm really scared that they're going to harm my betta and I have no idea how to get rid of them.

A salt or freshwater beach? Your betta may love having live food. Don't panic yet.

Large water changes can only help. A bunch of dying "creatures" might mess with you water parameters. Do you have a test kit? Use it! Ammonia etc. may spike, so do WCs, daily, to keep everything happy.
