Does anyone know anything about the behavior of ocellaris (false percula) clowns?

I bought a wild-caught one two days ago. (This is a brand new, but fully cycled tank.) At first he hid among my rockwork. Then yesterday he started hanging around my airline tubing and he doesn't leave it! Sometimes he's verticle, hovering around the airline tubing. But he's always right there.

Is this common for ocellaris to pick a spot and not swim around? Is this just a surrogate anemone? It just seems like strange behavior, but I don't have anything to compare it with.

Thanks for your thoughts...

That's how they are. Quirky little guys. They can take almost anything as a host- from corals, to filter intakes, to a Mag Float :)

Mine has taken to a frogspawn, but every now and then he'll go lay on his side in the sand under a caulastrea. Funny fish with loads of personality. Enjoy!

These clown anything like Percula clowns, Ive been worried about mine cause they been laying on the bottom alot latley and acting weird

From what I've read, they're almost identical. But I think I've heard that Ocellaris are the worst swimmers of all clowns and maybe stick to one spot in the tank more than true Percs. But I may be wrong.
