Odd fish stories?

I just recently got a black ghost knife (I used to have one and it died and I've been wanting another one since). I put some cucumber in the tank for the plecos, silver dollars, snails and shrimp, but it doesn't sink so I just sort of pinned it under a rock. Eventually it came loose and the ghost knife started playing with it! It was so cute, I was just sitting on the couch one day when I look over and see him. It inevitably gets sucked towards the powerhead, which then shoots it towards the bottom. As it floats up again the bgk pushes it around with his nose. He pushed it around in circles in a way that reminded me of gymnasts using a hoola hoop. It was fun to watch. :D

I've got a small reef tank and recently added a yellow-finned fairy wrasse. She's a stunner in the looks department, but apparantly she's got brains too! Every day I turn off the HOB and the skimmer before I feed the tank (so the food doesn't disappear before slower critters can grab it). Usually, the change in conditions and/or a human approaching the tank sends her dashing for a hiding place, and it takes a minute or so for her to re-emerge.
Today I came home and turned the equipment off, preparing to feed the fish. Suddenly, my wrasse darted out from behind the rocks, straight up the top of the tank! She looked straight at me, wiggling, as if to say - 'hey, every time you do that food falls from the sky, now where is it?'. Made me giggle, she's becoming quite a little pet.

Adopted Tiger Barb

One of my Tigerbarbs got beaten up pretty badly by his brothers so I moved him into my 90 gal to heal since all his fins were nipped off and he just had 4 stubs. My clown loaches immediately schooled around him and rushed of all the other fish. He's been hanging out with the Loaches as he heals. It's pretty amusing :D

I have two clown loaches and one morning they decided that they would be my alarm clock, so they swam up to the top of the tank and stick their face out of the water and started clicking away in typical clown loach fashion. Its also funny watching them pick up one piece of gravel and moving it a couple of inches and than continue that and eventually it starts to go crazy and goes real fast it cracks me up

I decided to raise some of those "Triops" from wal mart because I was dying of curiousity over them. They hatched and got to a good size. Forgot to add declorinator 1 time to their water and they started to die. Tried to save em, but I read that oscars eat brine shrimp. So I put one in the oscar tank. My oscar is about 3 inches long, and he looked at it and followed it for a few seconds, until finally he sucked it in. It couldn't fit into his mouth, so he sat there chewing on it for about half an hour. I think he enjoyed suckin' on it.

i have two stories, When i was 12 i had a tiger oscar, well my dad was telling me that their vicious, and when he was a kid he had one that ate anything and everything, worms, bugs, chicken, anythign he droped in it would eat, when mine got to a good size, 4'', i bought him feeder fish, 10 small goldies for 1 dollar, what a deal. thye were about 1/2''-1'' in size, when i added them to the tank i was expecting a blood bath, sorta like prahana. well he didnt eat ANY of them the tank got so crowded. in less than a year the goldfish reached the size of oscar and they started getting agressive toward him, the tables were turned big time.

Story2
MY ANGEL IS SOOOOOOOOOOO cute, at 1st she was timid, but i slowly lured her out from the "forest" i ahve in my tank, and now she likes me, she swimms to me when i approach the tank, and she hides in the little cave i have in the tank, and when i show her the bottle of flake food, its red with colors on it, she knows what it is, food, and she swims out of the cave and to the top. its really nice to have a fish that interacts.

Story3- i know i said i had 2, but one more..
My bamboo shrimp suprised me one time. I was showering one night after work. when i step out for my towel i see my bamboo shrimp on the floor of the bathroom in a puddle. somehow he got ot and made his way to my bathroom, looking for water i guess, so he wouldnt dry out. I assume it wasnt possible that he got out so i thought a wide shrimp from the lake behind my house got into the house, but sure enough it was my stix(bamboo shrimp). He curled up and died 2 days ago, really sad, it was my fault tho. :-(

some of my black sirt tetras always go under my filter thn they got to the gravel because the filter that mite not make any sense but wutever :bday:

Every night when I turn the lights off on the tank and the living room then turn on the lamp beside the tank with the blue bulb, my clown loach Ally will swim in place looking straight up at the blue circle the lampshade makes on the ceiling. What does she think she looking at?!

Billy the Betta I (we're on # 3 now)sits on my desk at work and stares at me for a few minutes and then rushes off to build more bubble nest. My office mate says the fish had a crush on my.
