Hello folks,
I got an unusually high KH result today, after doing a 30% water change and adding my usual Rift Lake Buffer, as the tank is all cichlid. (1 teaspoon salt/baking soda per 5 gallons /w water change to maintain my PH of 8+)
Results were:
GH : 120-140
KH: 200+ (???????????????????)
PH: 8.0-8.2
What the heck is up with the KH? Is this harmful ?? I hadn't tested the KH in awhile...so I have no idea how long it's been this high. Fish are showing no ill effects and are in fact spawning. I have both an air stone and power head running.
Any ideas, advice or suggestions??
Thanks much
Kelly
