The test tube wasn't the bright turquoise but kind of a light periwinkle :)
I know what turquoise is, but I am baffled as to what "periwinkle" is. Once knew some people who lived on Periwinkle Street, but the street was black (blacktop), so I guess that isn't helping me.

Oh well, I know this though... Turquoise = Bad Periwinkle = Better. (See? I am trainable...)

Congrats on the almost done cycle!Sounds like you'll be done soon. What will you do with all the spare time you will have on your hands? LOL

LOL CaptnDan! Didn't you ever have the big box of crayola crayons? I'll have to take a picture of the "periwinkle" tube for you, lol! I've gotten the w/c's down to a science, I fit them in between taking care of 2 kids, lol!

Keep up with your water changes to keep your nitrites as low as possible..until your cycle is finished. ingwater won't hurt your cycle as the bacteria are not free floating but are attached in your filter, on your substrate, deco..etc.

You will have nitirite for the bacteria to feed off of and grow even with water changes. My bet is tho..your cycle will finish by saturday.

Keep us posted!

So do you not agree that with the nitrites as low as they are that I shouldn’t do a w/c until they go up over .25? Don’t confuse me now! lol!

Congrats! :) My Nitrites are still hovering around .5 or so. I can't wait till I am in your situation.

Just keep at your water changes, that's what I did. All of a sudden they just went away!
